NOVEMBER AMP(feat. b. burroughs)

For AMP NOVEMBER, we  had the pleasure of having out featured reader be a local performance artist: b. burroughs. b. burroughs has taken part in solo performances such as ” from – a/end, “this is only a, working title”; SITin; w/by b.burroughs. (for th’US,”YoU’$) ” on the corner of murphy road and london road in sarnia,  “m’une wOk{ing}”w/byb.burroughs” performed at Trinity Lounge as well as many group projects with Gallery Lambton and other artists within the community. Always stressing the importance of human contact and the awkwardness that lies within, b. burroughs pushes the envelope both thematically and aesthetically.  Accompanied by her beautiful voice, (she has performed w/ many local bands, most notably Bleepus Christ) her performances are as surreal as they are concrete and questioning.   In the past b. burroughs has performed at two spoken word events, once in the upstairs of Ups n Downs for the launch of Variations Zine,  and again only a few months ago, she had a kissing booth at AMP. (check back in the blog for photos from that event).

At this AMP, b. burroughs interpreted T.S. Eliot’s The Wasteland.  Following we had our regular open mic. If you are interested in participating as a featured performer, please contact us at
